This project awards a second home retrofit – the client wished to be able to monitor his seaside getaway in the Caribbean. The first part of that equation meant proper surveillance, including four cameras and an enterprise-grade video management app called Milestone that allows the user to customize real-time views from his smartphone.
Another key feature: The system’s ability to check for problems and self-diagnose. Given the home’s location and our commitment to providing superior client service, we needed to ensure that we could deliver on that even from over a thousand miles away from our Headquarters in Kensington, MD. We configured the system to automatically send an email to both our service team and the client in the event of an issue, so that we can remotely apply a fix. The project also included six zones of distributed video and seven zones of audio, HVAC control, and automated shading.
