Stream Realty: Maximizing Workplace Value With Powerful A/V Design Solutions
For Stream Realty, a leading commercial real estate services organization, success starts and ends with their people. They work hard to create exceptional workplace experiences that empower teams to apply their best energy, expertise, and creativity. Stream’s dedication to their people recently motivated them to upgrade the amenity spaces in their Washington, DC office. Their goal was to enrich the work environment and improve employee wellness.
Discover how our team used meaningful design to install an A/V and network infrastructure system to help enhance Stream Realty’s environment and culture.
The Vision for the Future
Stream Realty identified an opportunity to modernize the audiovisual technology in its lobbies, open offices, fitness room, and conference center at its Northwest DC location. The aim was to maximize the value of its workplace amenities and foster a more energized and active workforce. Stream engaged our team to design and build a sophisticated audiovisual system backed by a robust network infrastructure to support the workplace experience they envisioned.
Following an analysis of the organization’s needs, we presented Stream with best options that met all their criteria and adhered to the building’s technical specifications. Understanding their desire to foster a distinct work culture, we thoughtfully designed a simple-to-use system that boosted wellness and work-efficiency.
Using Digital Signage in Lobbies to More Effectively Deliver Company Messaging
In the lobbies, we featured several Planar 32" TVs as digital signage to provide Stream a more effective method to deliver relevant content to clients and staff. Screens in the lobby now display company messaging such as project photos, event schedules, commuter information, industry-specific news, and more.
Fostering Employee Wellness in Open Offices with TV Displays
We installed TVs with cable playback in open office spaces for entertainment during breaks in the day. While television in the workplace may seem counterproductive, it can be a stress reliever in moderation. Plus, programs, like sporting events, can bring staff together, while others, such as industry news, can help people become insightful contributors.
Creating Interactive Experiences in the Fitness Room with TV Displays
We installed TVs for cable playback in Stream’s fitness center for those who prefer to get active during their downtime to enjoy. What’s more exciting, though, is the 65" Planar TV featured in the yoga room for people to participate in virtual classes.
Enhancing Collaboration with Flexible Conference Room and Smart A/V Solutions
The bulk of our work consisted of two conference rooms, separated by a motorized partition, that can transform into a single space with the touch of a button on a panel. Each conference room features a large 75" Planar display with integrated in-ceiling speakers for evenly distributed audio and video during meeting presentations. Moreover, wired and wireless presentation capabilities were installed in each room for presenters to display content from laptops, using either the Crestron AirMedia gateway or HDMI input on wall plates. 7" Crestron touchscreen panels offer full control of the presentation system in each room.
Building a Robust Network Infrastructure
Our system design concluded with the framework for a network infrastructure that could power technology and support streaming content in amenity spaces. We installed a state-of-the-art wifi system for wireless access to the network and data wall plates for a wired connection for optimal performance.
Your People Are Happier When Technology Meets Design
The fact of the matter is this: happiness and productivity go hand in hand. That means a technology-advanced work environment that encourages employee wellness can help better enable success.
